Our Beliefs
Our Theology and Doctrine
Baptists are a people of deep beliefs and cherished doctrines. Throughout our history we have been a confessional people, adopting statements of faith as a witness to our beliefs and a pledge of our faithfulness to the doctrines revealed in Holy Scripture. As a Southern Baptist church, we subscribe to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
Jesus promised that He would build His Church and that the gates of hell would not prevail against it (Matthew 16:18). We believe Jesus has kept His word. We also believe that evidences of this are seen in the historical creeds that faithful believers composed to accurately define and defend God’s Word. In light of this, we joyfully stand along side our brothers and sisters in Christ and affirm these creeds that we believe accurately reflect the teachings of God’s Word.
